“Please, do you know any nice studio I can use tomorrow?”
You send the message to three people.
One says, “Let me ask around.”
Another sends you an Instagram page.
The third person didn’t even reply.
So, you start searching.
Instagram. WhatsApp. Google. More Instagram.
You’re checking pictures, asking for prices, sending DMs and trying to find out if the space is even available.
And somehow, finding the space is becoming harder than the actual shoot.
If you’ve ever tried to find a creative space in Lagos or anywhere in Nigeria, you probably know exactly what this feels like.
